Let me introduce myself...
My name is Mark Rafferty and I began my studies in treating musculoskeletal pain and injures at the Nation Training Centre in 2012, studying as a Physical Therapist. This is where my journey began, since then I have worked with Senior intercounty football and hurling teams, I have worked with All Ireland football champions, League of Ireland soccer teams. World championship golfers, national champion cyclists and many more. I have worked and studied under many different physiotherapists, Osteopaths, and sports physicians. Gaining a wealth of knowledge in pain, movement dysfunction exercise correction. In 2018 I studied Osteopathy at the Irish College of Osteopathic Medicine, bringing my knowledge and patient care to the highest level.
What to expect
I NEVER just treat the sight of the problem. I am not interested in short term pain relief; I find the true cause of your problem and allow you to feel confident in going back to doing the things you love.
I NEVER provide you with a generic plan, everybody is different and so your treatment plan is bespoke to you with the right exercises at the right time to progress you confidently throughout the full treatment plan. My job is not only to reduce the pain but to make sure that this doesn’t return again and so this is why I design a full treatment plan to make sure that you understand just because the pain has gone it doesn’t necessarily mean we are ready to go back to our activities. I make sure that I help you to build resilience towards the end of your plan so that not only doesn’t the pain return but it’s in my interest to save you time, money and effort in the long term and get you back living a pain free life as safely and quickly as possible.
